CLOUD COMPUTING

The phlebotomy program is "Internet-Enhanced," which means that a lot of the course content and many convenient ways of studying it have been made available on the Internet where they are available to students 24/7/365.
We recommend using the Google Chrome Browser, which you can install on any computer (even the lab computers on campus) in just about 60 seconds. Google Chrome will allow you to access our "Cloud-based Content" and to take full advantage of our "Daily Dialog Exercises," which use the Google Voice feature for practicing the dialogs out loud. More on that later.
Please click through the five sections below to learn about Cloud Computing. The program moves very quickly and we don't want to leave anybody behind! Being familiar with these topics before the program gets underway will help you to move up the learning curve quickly and efficiently.

Welcome to Week 0 Day 1 Part 4!

CANVAS is the new LMS (Learning Management System) that is being adopted by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.
That means that all of the state-run community and technical colleges will be using CANVAS to present on-line content, grades, attendance and other aspects of education. The transition began last fall at RTC.
The Phlebotomy Technician Program at RTC already has a considerable Web Presence, so we will continue to support those (our blogs and on-line photo album) and we will be integrating content into CANVAS as part of an ongoing process.
